Downtown Vancouver is where it's at for nightlife. Yaletown hosts an older crowd with more money; You'll find high rollers, yuppies, gold diggers, high end food and wine, some awesome lounges and one main night club - Bar None. Granville street night clubs host a younger crowed interested in getting very drunk and dancing the night away. All the clubs are close together so bar hopping is easy to do. Be prepared to wait in line unless you arrive before 9, then you're guaranteed entrance and sometimes free cover. You'll find a myriad of 24 pizza shops, snack bars, hot dog stands, street performers and roudy party-goers. Gastown Nightlife is more funky - you'll find reasonably priced restaurants and lounges with a mixture of old, young, wealthy, artsy, student and career professional partygoers. In Gastown everything goes and you'll always find some new hole in the wall, or fun group to join. Below is a list of the top nightclubs to check out in Vancouver.
