Vancouver has the perfect weather for golfing: mild in the winter and not too hot in the summer. The vast amounts of rain Vancouver receives means lots of green space and that means excellent golfing in Vancouver! Vancouver has some of the most picturesque golf courses anywhere and many of them are right within the city limits.
Vancouver Golf Events
There are a few golf tournaments and events throughout the year that are either restricted to pros, or open to everyone. Once company, Crying Light Golf Events, does golf events open to everyone, and offers a full service golf day including dinner and drinks. Liquor sponsors usually pitch in to make the events extra entertaining, and fundraising for a specific charity is selected for each event.
Vancouver Golf Courses and Clubs
Located in beautiful Pacific Spirit Park on the UBC campus. This public club is easily accessible by bus or car and offers a scenic course, facilities for large functions, and a top notch golf shop. Situated in the heart of Point Grey, the club has been part of the community since 1929. Tee times are 10 minutes apart, so there is no need to rush. There is also a restaurant that is open to the public.

Vancouver Golf Resorts
The Sandpiper Golf Resort is 1 .5 hours east of Vancouver in Harrison Mills.
This spectacular designer golf course is matched only by its rugged surroundings. There is also a pro golf shop on site.
Facilities include Rowena’s Inn, a lovely collection of rooms decorated with antiques from around the world. Rowena’s Inn on the River is located on the Sandpiper estate which also has its own private airstrip.
The Sandpiper also hosts wedding events, eco outings and has a restaurant.

The Falls Golf and Country Club

Vancouver Golf Show
This two day event has over 20,000 visitors each year. It is held in downtown Vancouver at the Vancouver Convention centre. There is golf equipment galore, sales and travel opportunities as well as interactive booths. A must for any golf enthusiast or golf retailer.

This facility advertises itself as a ‘learning and training facility’. It is located in Southlands in rural south Vancouver.
There is a two tiered 80 stall driving range driving range, a short game practice course, and an 18 hole mini golf range. Open to the public and children.
The Golf Institute at Fraserview
Fraserview Golf Course
This teaching facility and golf course is on 225 acres of mature forest in southeast Vancouver. This old vineyard also has a walking path 4km long. The driving range is first class and there are instructors available for every level of golf. Open to the public. Check website for green fees and note: they do not include tax and change depending on the time of day.

McCleery Golf Academy and Driving Range
Located at the McCleery Golf Course. Classes for all levels, children and groups. They also offer courses at local community centres, after school programs and summer camps. There is a driving range with 32 head covered (20 of which are covered and heated) stalls.
