Broadway Street from Macdonald to Alma is known as Kitsilano or Kits as it is called by locals. There is an abundance of bookstores, small shops, fruit and vegetable markets, boutiques- it is possible to start at Broadway Street and MacDonald and walk to Alma- it takes about one and a half hours. This area of Broadway Street in Vancouver also has many Greek stores and every year the street is closed from MacDonald to Blenheim for Greek days.
