Mennonite Heritage Village: Steinbach, Manitoba
The Mennonite Heritage Village depicts the Mennonite way of life: from the 16th century to present day. Mennonite Heritage Village exists solely to preserve and educate the public about the Mennonite way of life which is gradually disappearing. There is a windmill and quilting studios where you can watch beautiful Mennonite quilts being made.
The forty acre site emerges from a village street in a pattern of Mennonite villages from the past. The north side of the street shows early settlement buildings, and the south side depicts the shift to Mennonites when they began to open businesses. The Village Centre is open year round. There are galleries that depict Mennonite religion and culture. The Gift and Book Shop located in the main building: books, art, and souvenirs are available there. Hand crafted items are available in the General Store.
There is a beautiful banquet hall which is perfect for weddings or large events. As well the Village offers many educational programs from daycare programs to middle school programs.

Sunday-noon to 5 pm
July – August:
Monday - Saturday - 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday - noon to 6 pm
October- April:
Monday - Friday - 10 am - 4 pm
