Edmonton Galaxyland

Galaxyland, used to be known as Fantasyland. It is the world's second largest indoor amusement park and it is inside in the West Edmonton Mall. Fantasyland is home to the world's tallest and longest indoor roller coaster, the Mindbender. It is also home to the Space Shot, the world's tallest indoor tower ride. There are more than 24 rides and they are divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced rides.

The beginner rides at Galaxyland are recommended for the very young and those who want to take it easy. There is a carousel, a kiddie convoy, a squadron, Space bump raceway and balloon race and Galaxy Kids Playpark. Miniature dirt bikes, slow moving planes, Ferris wheel : everything is padded and low to the ground so parents can be close by.
For toddlers, Galaxyland offers Toddler Time. Specifically designed for the under age 5 set, chaperones get in for free and the hours are Monday to Thursday, 12-3pm.

The intermediate rides at Galaxyland range from the tilt a whirl, rockets, a Spanish style boat, a turbo ride with a 3-D movie theatre,  a medium sized rollercoaster, a  spaceship and the cosmic revolution 2 12 passenger cars that that travel at high speeds, un an undulating circular track.

Canada’s first spinning roller coaster is the Galaxy Orbiter. It opened in 2007. It is considered an advanced ride along with, Space Shot, Solar Flare, Swing of the Century, Cosmos Space Derby, Mind Bender and the Sonic Twister. These rides go very high and very fast and have a minimum height requirement.
