The Anthony Henday Freeway/ Drive

Edmonton has a freeway all the way around it called Anthony Henday. It circumnavigates the perimeter of the city- it’s a freeway so you can drive quickly in a circle all the way around the city avoiding other suburbs or the downtown core. It will be fully completed in 2012.

Light Rail Transit (LRT)
Edmonton Light Rail Transit (LRT) is run by electricity. The LRT is 21 km long and has 15 stations.

Yellowhead Highway 16

Alberta Provincial Highway No. 16 is known as the Yellowhead Highway, and is the dominant east-west highway that crosses central Alberta.

Highway 2 – Queen Elizabeth Highway- QE2
Highway 2 is the provincial highway in Alberta. The distance between Calgary and Edmonton is travelled often by business people and tourists and the speed limit is 110 km/h.
