Calgary Aero Space Museum
The Aero Space Museum of Calgary is a space museum in Calgary, Alberta. The museum is located south of the Calgary International Airport. The Aero Space Museum is a member of the Organization of Military Museums of Canada: a national organization of military museums.The Organization of Military Museums of Canada was founded in 1967 by a group of military museums, historians, and military history enthusiasts. The Aero Space Museum was founded in 1975 by aviation experts and World War II pilots. It shows the history of aviation and space technology in Western Canada. Over 24 aircraft are on display, as well as 58 aeronautical engines.

The main artifacts attractions at the museum are the: Sopwith Triplane, Auster, Avro Anson, Beech 18, Harvard, North American F-86 Sabre Jet, Bell 47, Dehavilland Vampire, Waco, Avro Lancaster, Douglas DC-3, Barkley Grow, Dehavilland Twin Otter, Cessna Ag Wagon, Sikorsky S-51, Sikorsky S-55, CF-101 Voodoo, and the CF-100 Canuck.
The first aviation museum in Calgary, The Air Museum of Canada was founded in 1960 as a collection of privately owned aircrafts. In 1971, the museum's aircrafts were given to the City of Calgary and kept at the city's Planetarium. In 1975 the Aero Space Museum Association of Calgary was registered as a non-profit, charitable organization for the purpose of preserving the airplanes.
In 1985, the Aero Space Museum of Calgary moved to the old Bullock Helicopter Hangar in the Calgary International Airport- formerly a World War II training hangar.
The Aero Space Museum has sent many Calgary students to Houston Texas to NASA to study. The Aero Space Museum of Calgary has an educational partnership with the For the Love of Children Society of Alberta. Through the support of the Aero Space Museum they can host many programs that enrich the lives of many.

The museum also has a boardroom and classroom available for rent. These smaller rooms are great for training seminars, staff retreats and club meetings.
